ODE to coffee

oh coffee, I miss you already

your dark, rich, warmth

your comfort

your ability to perk me up

oh coffee, we've spent much time together

you've seen me through it all

you see me in the morning

and make an occassional appearance in the afternoon

oh coffee, you've helped me

you wake me up

you excite me

you motivate me

yet, coffee, you deceive me

you make me jittery

and i cannot get thru a day without you

your addiction is unhealthy

oh, coffee, you are always on my mind

your sweetness, your comfort

yet, oh coffee, you hold me hostage in your grip

oh coffee, i think of you often

but dear friend,

i am very sad to say, it is time for me to say good bye to you

i am moving on, dear coffee

oh coffee, i miss you already

Is this necessary, Jenna? I remember giving up coffee one year in NYC. I was temping at Houton Mifflin and I couldn't walk up the stairs to my manager's office my head pounded so bad. I did give it up, though and after a while didn't miss it.

Tell me how the art is going? I'm dropping a piece at the Between the Bridges show in the summer. They haven't set a date yet, so I don't know exactly when.

Hope you are well! Family is great. Angus is big-big. He told me today a "bad santa" lives in the bottom of the small pond on the playground and that he and his classmates throw grass and sticks in the pond to "tear off his beard" This is also know as the "death machine."
